Deviation 18.05.07 & recommended downloads

Gilles Peterson's protégée Benji B has a show on BBC 1extra which kind of divides opinion on the Brownswood forum. Some find it fresh, others cliquey. Decide for yourself in this recent edition I've uploaded here...

Props to The Disco King at Brownswood for mentioning this as a particularly hot one and also Jamie L for posting the torrent at The Mixing Bowl. If you want this show and are a Mixing Bowl member, please download from there as my stats are down and I'm in danger of getting banned.

One of many recent discoveries is My Generation. Plenty of 60s / 70s gems over here. Like The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band's 1968 album here... I was actually a bit disappointed by this. Nothing as good as Smell Of Incense here (apologies to Nate of Unconscious Repeat)

A bit off the beaten track for him but great is a Prince Far I collaboration with some British jazz musicians

Image is Nymph by J H Lynch. Little known about the artist but his images are universally recognised symbols of kitsch / exotica.

Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
